Applying a bill credit

All agents can use this feature to add a bill credit to a customers account. A bill credit adds a discount to a customers bill on a one off basis. 


To access the Bill Credit feature, follow these steps: 

  1. Navigate to the customer's account 
  2. Click on the Billing page 
  3. Locate the Bill Credits section


Step 1: Initiate the Request At the top of the Bill Credits component, click the "Request Bill Credit" button. This will open the bill credit request form. 



Step 2: The bill credit request form contains the following fields. These all need to be populated when adding a credit: 


  • Amount - Enter the credit amount to be applied to the customer's account. This must follow the Fibrely Credit Policy to ensure approval. Be careful to ensure decimal places are in the correct place and that the value is correct.
  • Reason - Select the appropriate reason from the dropdown menu 
  • Notes - Additional context or details about the credit request. Provide details as to why you are raising the credit you are to help the approval process make a swift decision.



Important: If you select "Other" as the reason, the Notes field becomes mandatory. You must provide detailed explanation when using this option.


Step 3: Submit the request which will send the credit for approval.


When approved (typically within 48 hours), the credit will be applied to the next bill generated.
